In typical Washington fashion, the forecast was rain, then sun, then rain, then sun. It seemed like we were hoping and praying for the ceremony to fall between spurts of rain. As we drove up to Sierra & Chey’s property, it seemed that we had gotten lucky. We checked the forecast again and NO RAIN! We didn’t hold our breaths, cause, Washington… but Sierra & Chey said ‘I do’ on their own property, with the sun shining down, and not a dark cloud in the sky. Tucked away far in the woods on the border of Kitsap and Pierce County it was a small, intimate wedding that included the most important people in their lives, those who could make it. Chey & Sierra were married last year, but this year, they wanted to say their vows and have their ceremony in front of their families.
Sierra & Chey, I know our meeting was different from how most brides and grooms meet their photographers, but I am so happy that we met and that I was able to be there for your special day! You two are the sweetest couple, and you are the epitome of true, destined love. It’s funny how people that you haven’t known for long can affect you so much. It’s not uncommon to see me shedding a tear (or a million) behind the camera during the ceremony, and your wedding was no different. I am so grateful to have been a part of your special day! I wish you guys nothing but many more years of love, happiness, laughter, and lots of adventures! I hope I get to see you guys again soon and get you back in front of my camera!;P
