Marycatherine & Landon’s engagement session was just perfect. A rainy Buck Lake engagement session with mother nature giving us the best surprise of all at the end of the session.

Right after Marycatherine & Landon became a part of the AC Family they said they wanted fall engagement photos, which I immediately agreed to because fall is the best time of year. In true Washington fashion, we were rained out and had to reschedule. TWICE. On the third try, they said “a little rain never hurt anybody” and I was GAME.

I broke out the clear umbrellas and what we created was MAGIC. Then at the end of the session, we got glow!!!!! That beautiful golden hour halo glow that we were missing the rest of the time!

I think this is one of my top fall sessions of all time. Gorgeous outfits, clear bubble umbrellas, and bright orange trees? SIGN. ME. UP.

Marycatherine & Landon are high school sweethearts, and also classmates of mine! When I say they’re high school sweethearts I mean it. If there was a place in our yearbook for “most likely to get married” it would be them. And now they really are getting married!!!! (finally!!!)

I’ve been so lucky to photograph so many high school sweethearts and watch their love blossom into something wonderful.
