Kelsie & Dakota's Covington, Wa Wedding

Kelsie & Dakota met on a blind date put together by their best friends. Kelsie wasn’t necessarily interested at first, even after he LITERALLY caught her when she fell out of the truck, but Dakota didn’t give up. It seemed like love at first sight with Dakota. He spent weeks if not months sending her fresh flowers, coincidently being in the same place as her and at the same parties and get-togethers, always finding a way to just be around her and trying to get her to take a chance on him. It wasn’t until she finally gave him a chance, that she realized just how amazing this man was, and the rest is history.

The wedding morning started with hair & makeup and I was greeted with so many beautiful bridesmaid faces and smiles, and a mimosa to boot! You could feel the energy in the air. Excitement, a hit of nervousness, and all the calmness and contentedness in the world. Wedding details photos flew by, and before you know it, Kelsie was in her dress and ready to see Dakota at their first look.

Before we even started the first look, Dakota shed a few tears, anticipating the moment he got to see his bride for the first time. The woman who he’d spend the rest of his life with and build their forever with. When the moment came for him to turn around and finally see her, the tears fell harder. One of the sweetest and heartwarming first looks I’ve had the privilege of photographing. There wasn’t a dry eye anywhere, including mine.

I can’t tell you just how much these two mean to me, I know that we’ve become a part of the family, and I know that they’ve become a part of ours. I’ve never been more ecstatic for these two to be married, seeing Dakota be the most amazing step father that he is, makes me love and cherish all of them more.

Kelsie & Dakota, I can’t be happier for the two of you to finally be married! I am so grateful to know you two, and be able to call you close friends. I can’t wait to see your new life blossom together! We absolutely love being around you both and can’t wait to come to all the family BBQs and have the best mom dates when you’re on my side of the water!
